Mon Pierrot by Stygians-Fool Mon Pierrot by Stygians-Fool
LOOKS BETTER IN REAL LIFE! :XD:
Actually my first real proper drawing with colored pencils. For more detail of what I used, go here: [link] <3 It's worth it I promise.

Jest Rant:

Pierrots mean the world to me. As with fools and jesters. I'm not going to go into too many details, but this is an important drawing to me. I also used minor reference: [link]
Oh, and so you know, these pierrot portraits used to be popular once so it is a childhood like memory for me. I do believe that he is also a he :)

Big apologies for again sizing it tiny like and mass watermark spamming but this is one of my prides and I can't stand the dA watermark lol

I know parts of his anatomy is off so there's no need to mention thanks, I already know :)

Drew this last year, its still undergoing hiatus but I think I've done enough for now. I refused to submit this here the last time, so enjoy

In truth, this one strikes me more as being Harlequin than Pierrot. The hat, most of the hair showing and all... If it had been a girl, then possibly Pierrette... I definitely see the M. Fujita influence in it. Very lovely piece. *Nods*

I love both harlequins and Pierrots so that would be where the hat comes from. Thank you! :)

Perhaps this is a new "breed" then! A Pierriquin or a Harliot! :D

Hahah! Most definitely :XD: There is such a blurred line between "normal" and "creative" these days that I don't think anything ever fits into one category

The details are amazing! I love the eye and the colors blend so well!

Are they special colored pencils like prisma or something? Or just roseart/crayola Wal*Mart kind?

Hello! I'm sorry for replying so late-- I haven't been logging on dA in order to concentrate on uni work @-@ Sorry! :(

And thank you-- I adore pierrots too :) Unfortunately I'm not allowing prints, but home personal use is ok-- it can go on your wall so long as the watermarks remain where they are :)

This was done with normal, Wal*Mart kinds lol. Crayola maybe? Although expensive pencils are impressive (like prisma), it depends on how you use them as well. I was also using some Derwents for this, but they actually ruined parts of the drawing >.< And so I stopped using them :P

And yes it is stupid @-@ But yes people do it, all the time. It's hard to track as well since its posted online. If I didn't watermark so much than my work wouldn't be uploaded here at all :/

And again, I'm really glad you like it XD If you're interested, this image was inspired off of a watercolour painting by an artist named Mira Fujita (I only just found out her name a couple of months ago-- she's mentioned in the detail submission for this image for being the inspiration source).
It's hard finding any information on her though. I have one of her prints on my wall, this one: [link] (low quality image I got off the net)
And someone else who was also inspired by her, did a tribute copy of this one: [link]

I'm still searching for more of her prints :D

Nice work, great choice of colour and emotion in this piece. The pink background is the perfect colour to bring out the best in this work.

Keep it up ;)
